The Daily Grind

No, you're not seeing things. Out of our desperate attempt to be rich love for giving you options, we've added a little something extra for today. Come on in and check it out!

How many times have you ordered a slice of cheesecake and thought "Oh, wow! My eyes sure were bigger than my stomach!" If you've got friends, no problem! Just ask for a few more forks! But if you're alone? Well, in that situation, there's only one thing to do. You've got to whip out the Dremel and grind that cheesecake down to something more manageable.

Or what about one of those delis where you walk up to the counter and say "Hey, I want a pastrami and rye!" and then they bring it out to you and the sandwich is literally twice the size of your face before you even count the eggplant-sized pickle on the side? In that situation, you'd clearly have to turn to the two Dremel attachments. A few quick passes of the tool and that sandwich is now cut down to a thousand bite-sized snacks instead! And don't pretend you can't polish those off. Just pretend you're watching sports on TV.

Naturally we'd be remiss in our job if we didn't at least mention that the Dremel 6800-02 is designed for household jobs that builders and hobbyists will enjoy, and isn't actually, technically made to work with food. It's made to cut, sand and grind other things that a builder might run into as they build about the house. But, to be fair to us, we're the people who cut a pineapple with a chainsaw so c'mon, live a little!

And just wait until you see how funny it is when your Dremel throws cheesecake filling up on the wall at super-speed. Boy, you're gonna laugh and laugh and laugh.

Committed Handyperson!

If you have the option, you're gonna take a crack at it first. Possibly this is a bad decision, but occasionally it works out in your favor. All your chairs sit level and you know how to stain unfinished furniture. You could be better, but you're not too bad.

  • The high-speed spiral cutting action makes clean cuts with smoother edges that require less sanding
  • The pivoting handle can be positioned straight-up or at a 90-degree angle for superior tool control and maximum comfort
  • Telescoping foot for accurate depth control while cutting, sanding, and routing
  • Designed to cut multiple materials including wood, plastic, drywall, sheet metal, wall tile and more without switching tools
  • 2,000 - 10,000 RPM variable-speed switch for greater versatility and optimal control
  • Non-marring base to protect delicate work pieces
  • On-board dust extraction port to maintain a clean workplace

What are Top Comments?

Top Comments are discussion forum posts we have deemed worthy of your time. Listen, we get a lot of comments, and most of the time, it's pretty forgettable stuff; but sometimes you rise to the top like butterfat in milk. We don't recommend you base your self-worth on how often we feature your comments, but we don't expressly forbid it either.
