Truly a classic, the Catalonia is a round vessel constructed from recycled copper by Novatto's master artisans in Mexico. Through years of experience passed down from previous generations, the end result is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Made from extra thick 14 gauge copper, the Catalonia has a warm antique finish. Copper has a soft luxurious look and is amazingly easy to maintain. Fingerprints do not show as they will on stainless steel and other metals. For basic cleaning, simply use soap and water. Laboratory testing has shown that, when cleaned regularly, a copper surface continuously kills disease-causing bacteria, achieving 99.9% reduction within hours of exposure. Copper has a "living finish" and its patina will continue to develop character over time, meaning it will usually become a richer, darker color. The patina creates a unique look of complimenting dark tones. Due to the handcrafted nature of this sink, it will vary in appearance, finish, texture, and hammering. Also the dimensions may vary up to 1/4-inch. We strongly suggest you receive the actual piece before making any installation cuts. Included with the sink is Novatto's 19 hole strainer drain (STD-ORB), constructed of solid brass for strength and durability. Finished in oil rubbed bronze, the drain assembly has two rubber seals, a plastic spacer, and brass fastener.
