Features
It helps preserve solitary bees, including mason and leaf cutter bees, which are some of the most effective pollinators for flower, vegetable, and fruit crops. This house provides paper tubes for female bees to lay eggs from March to August. The larvae will develop in the tubes during the winter months and will appear as adults the following spring. The tube should be replaced after use or after 1 to 2 seasons. Replaceable tubes are more hygienic than permanent tubes or perforated tubes and prevent mite infestation in colonies. These bees are not aggressive and cannot excavate holes, so they do not pose a risk to wooden structures. Solitary bees usually nest in pre-made cavities such as throbbing holes, insect holes, and hollow stems, so solitary bees are a perfect choice to help increase pollination.
