Features
These double daffodils' large blooms boast crisp white petals and ruffled, bi-colored coronas. The coronas' yellow petals overlap with their frilly white sisters for a uniquely full and textured effect. Fantastically fragrant, White Lion daffodils bloom in mid-spring and grow 18 to 20 inches tall. They are deer resistant and easy to naturalize, making them excellent for woodland plantings.
This double cupped daffodil is hardy in zones 3 through 8. To help ensure their success, plant your white daffodil bulbs in the fall, about 6 inches deep and 4 to 6 inches apart. Daffodils dislike excessive moisture, so make sure to plant them in well-drained clay, loamy or sandy soil. Your buttery perennial daffodils will thrive in full sunlight or partial shade. Use your white and yellow daffodils to add a pop of color underneath trees and shrubs, or to fill in larger spaces like orchards and fields. Show them off in your yard by planting them in low beds, or bury them in borders alongside different strains of single daffodils and colorful, full-bodied hyacinths.
