Designed for mechanics and utility trucks, the Yost Mechanic's series is built to rugged standards. Using a combination of cast iron and a steel main bar, these vises are designed to withstand higher clamping pressure than traditional cast iron vises.

The Yost Vises combination pipe and bench mechanics vise has a 360-degree swivel base and mounts to a workbench to provide clamping action for professional applications. The 360-degree swivel base adjusts the direction of the jaws for proper placement. Hand-tightening the lock knob on the base secures its position. The compact body is made of cast gray iron with a tubular frame and has been powder coated for increased durability. It has a flat portion that acts as an anvil and additional work surface. The hardened-steel jaws have grooves for enhanced grip and can be replaced when worn. The jaws draw closer together or farther apart by turning the vise handle clockwise or counterclockwise.The main screw is lubricated and is enclosed in a tube to protect it from damage. The tube is supported both internally and externally within the vise to reduce wear on the bar and vise when clamping. A rubber washer on either side of the handle prevents unwanted sliding when turning, and the balls on each end unscrew to enable replacement of the handle if worn.

• Enclosed Main Screw - The enclosed main screw provides protection for the screw and nut of the vise. This enclosure prevents debris from getting into the threads of the screw and damaging the vise.
• Front Screw Collar - The front screw collar design is used for smoother operation of the vise. The machined collar fits into the main screw of the vise. The allows the vise jaw to open or close with only a small rotation in the main handle.
• Rear Anchored Nut - The rear anchored nut is designed reduce wear or the main screw and nut mechanism. It also provides smoother operation and increased clamping pressure.
• Machined Pipe and Machinist Jaws - Machined pipe jaws provide increased clamping pressure over standard cast in place pipe jaws. The diamond serrated machinist jaws provide enhanced grip.
