I was saved by this ram. I have a Powerbuilt engine crane which was given to me several years back. In 2018, I purchased this ram as a back up because the original had been used numerous times and at over 15 years old it was just a matter of time before it would leak. Today was the day. In the middle of pulling a motor the original leaked. Was able to drop the load safely and in 5 minutes the Big Red was installed and we were able to complete the removal and replacement without any further issues. Works perfectly after sitting for five years. Not sure how long it will last but it did save the day. For now it will stay in place and I’ll rebuild the original to become the back-up. I purchased it for less than fifty dollars and was delivered without any issue. Even at the current price it’s a good deal in my opinion.

Leaks after just one use

Bought this in June of '24 to replace the long jack on my engine hoist. The old one, a different brand, had lasted over 20 years. Within 6 months I noticed the ram leaking from the seal around the ram as well as the junction of the jack body and the valve assembly. This is kept in a heated shop. It was only used once in that time. Very disappointed
