Awesome horns. I installed these into my 1990 corvette. Sounds better than the factory GM unit

Louder than stock, but echo-like sound

I'm honestly a bit disappointed. Before purchasing, I read a ton of reviews on this horn. It was recommended by a ton of people and very few negative things were said about it. I purchased the horns and installed them. The instructions might as well be thrown away. They were faded and in no fashion were they applicable to a simple installation as a replacement horn on an existing stock car. But not a big deal, it was very simple. Remove wiring from original horn, attach to Hella horn positive terminal, acquire some spare wiring to connect to the negative and the other end to a ground. Upon getting the horns installed, I gave them a quick test. My original horn was reminiscent of the (cartoon) RoadRunner's "meep meep" sound. This new Hella horn was meatier, but also sounded as if it was being echoed or in a glass enclosure. It was a bit of a strange sound. Personally I was not a fan of the end result, but it was louder so I'm trying to give it some time to grow on me. The echoey sound just isn't something I personally desire in a car horn. And to be clear, it's installed and aimed identically in the way my original horn was. The echoey sound remains even when the bumper is not in place, which leaves me to believe it's the intended sound of the horn. While I am open to giving them a chance to grow on me, I'm also actively looking for another brand to install.
