KNIPEX - Pliers Wrench, Chrome (86 03 180)

Bottom Line Up Front: I bought these 71/4(180 mm) pliers because I wanted a set that I can keep comfortably in my pocket at work. They accomplish that nicely. This is not my first set of knipex pliers. I am a big fan. I already own a set of 10"(250mm) plier wrench. It works great but it's large, not very comfortable to carry around all the time. The issue is not just the length but the width of the head assembly. As you can see pictured next to both the 7 1/4(180 mm) and the 10" (250 mm) Cobras, the cobras actually have a smaller width footprint even at that length, which makes pocketing the ten inch set doable, albeit it sticks out. I like these a lot, very versatile, doesn't mar fasteners, excellent leverage for squeezing or bending, and fits nicely in pocket to keep on hand. I wanted something big enough to grab the things I work on, 1 1/2 jaw is great, but small enough footprint I will keep with me. Cobras are more versatile but it is nice not leaving teeth marks on everything you grab.
