Top positive review
Works well on old Fords

This does what it is supposed to do. It takes some patience because inner spring compressors are a bit tricky. Follow all safety procedures, compressed springs are very dangerous. I had to use an iron pipe spacer to make it shorter and some hardened washers. Oil the threads!. The pipe spacer I added was about 4 inches and made the top stick out of the shock tower which made things easier. I used jacks and a lift to raise and lower the car and control arm to align the spring perch to remove /put in new spring. Oil the threads, use hardened washers if you have to add a washer. Worked fine.

Well made but useless without the other tools needed.

the clamps worked well but I could not remove the nut on the strut because I could not stop the shaft from spinning with hand tools like vice grips. It is really necessary to make sure you have access to air tools if you are going to use these clamps. Fortunately I found a shop that would let me use their air tools. However, they also had a much better spring compressor as well, so I ended up not needing this one. :(
