Changed my life

ok the title might be a little bit of hyperbole, but I used to swear by megapro 10 in 1s. this is similar in ways but better in others. first of all, you're not going to loose bits because it opens when you're not expecting it to, it stores and holds them very nicely, my megapro is all impact bits, so I always used it as bit storage for my impact, but since you can remove the shank on this driver and put it in an impact gun I'm not loosing that functionality, plus the way it locks in the regular bits works well, no more leaving my bit behind after tightening something. it's nice that it can be both semi compact and regular sized just buy it, it's an awesome screwdriver

Handle is entirely made of plastic

This is my first Wera tool that I’m not too impressed with. The biggest concern is the steel adapter shaft inserts into a 100% plastic handle… there is no metal insert like there is in my other “no bit storage” wera bit driver. This appears to be a very light use tool, and that was confirmed by some other reviews that discussed how the plastic sleeve in the handle broke in half. When the adapter is extended there is only about an inch of shaft inside the sleeve… so I’d only put significant torque on this driver when the adapter is retracted… that way there’s at least 3x more shaft in the plastic sleeve, which should greatly decrease the chances of breaking. There’s also a ridiculous amount of “slop” due to the loose tolerance between the shaft and plastic sleeve. There’s about 15-20 degrees back and forth movement before the bit feels any torque. I would’ve sent this one back, but I originally just wanted an extra adapter, and the price of this set with the handle was basically the same price as buying the adapter and six bits separately. The bits and adapter are great, no complaints there. The biggest pro of the handle is, I do like the way the bits are stored and the ease at which they can be accessed and switched out. However, due to the slop and fragile construction, this is not a tool I expect to reach for very often.
