This stuff works!

I spread the Blue Heat pellets on solid inch of frozen solid ice on both my driveway and sidewalk. Right away ice heard ice cracking. I left it overnight the in the morning the ice was half as high and I was able to lift in off (in small broken up pieces ) with a snow shovel. The ad for it says to spread it BEFORE it snows but I didn't have to. I was totally amazed at how well it worked with no damage to the concrete. I have used a similar product in the past that ate up a portion of my driveway. I haven't seen any damage with this one. I spread it by hand, which was pretty easy because it's light and only used about 1/3 of the bag on 50' by 20' driveway and 20' by 3' sidewalk and 4 steps. Now that's it's all cleaned up (with very little effort) I will put it down again before it snows, but it actually works both ways. By my person experience, I totally recommend this product.

The seller wants me to mail this back. Are you kidding me. I can't afford to mail a 40-50 lb box off. The postage alone would cost me more than the product itself. Will not buy again. Even though it was bought on Amazon, they won't honor the return? Besides, I can't even lift this box to wrap it up to send it back. The box was torn and that's how the heat came in solid form. Was totally unable to use this. It took a good 3 weeks before I got it. This was a very bitter cold and snowy year for us. I'm sure the box was dropped and that's how it came open. Seems kind of drastic to have to mail it back. After waiting 3 weeks for the item, then Amazon just gets back to me that they do not honor returns from this vendor. I will have to look closer next time to see if Amazon accepts the returns and not a 3rd party. Waste of money. By the time. I jumped through hoops, it was too late to do the return. Now, we have no snow!!! Very disappointed in the return process. Never again!! It was not usable and because I can't move it, it has stayed where the delivery guy left it. The chunks are solid and very large. I couldn't even break it up. I tried, but it wouldn't budge. Some of those pieces are huge chunks and forget about using the scoop that was purchased with it. A good way to break the scoop.
