ACDelco GM Engine Oil Filter

Before installing, the filters visually didnt look too bad. Gasket seemed a little thicker and maybe a tad old looking even with the recent date stamp on them. I bought three of these for my C6 Z06. First one probably leaked a miniscule amount but never questioned it (enough to get some oil on the rear bumper), Kept thinking it was blow-by.Installed the second one two weeks ago, and when it came time to install my catch can, I noticed oil dripping from the filter, as well as oil from surrounding areas. No big deal I thought. Replaced with the third filter as well as oil cooler block gasket(s), same mess.Inspected every oil pan bolt, main cap bolt, etc. It was obvious where the leak was originating from I just couldn't put my finger on it. Was seeping oil onto my exhaust at high RPMs, causing a bunch of smoke, and even making it's way to the back of the car. Not a huge mess, but some of the old caked oil led me to believe it started with the first filter from last year. Replaced the filter with a different brand and no more issues. Filter was installed/tightened down correctly every time (its not rocket science). Not sure if it was a bad batch, or if it relates to the supersceded part number, but I can say for sure I'm never going back to AC filters. Gave me enough heartache for two weeks trying to diagnose the issue.
