Emerson Midway Eco Ceiling Fan

I had a two year old Hunter fan whose motor started vibrating so bad that the glass light cover was resonating like an opera singer. And I tried everything to dampen the noise. This was frustrating since this was a replacement that I had to install just 3 months after original purchase. Same issue - motor noise and I had to ship the entire fan back to Hunter for a replacement. I then looked at a Hunter fan that was similar in design to this Emerson. It was the Palermo model. My premise was that my original Hunter fan was a bad motor/bad design and that the light cover hanging low was adding to the resonating. I also felt that the housing on the Hunter Palermo, overall, was a better design to reduce vibration/housing noise. Well, I hung the new Hunter fan and it resonated terribly. Took the new fan back, went up in the attic and rebuilt the entire light fixture structure with enough support that a 500 lb person could do pull-ups on whatever I installed. Got a second Hunter Palermo fan and reinstalled following the directions meticulously. No luck, hummed and buzzed like crazy. I could feel the vibration throughout the housing and there was no wobble whatsoever with the blades. Took it back and researched online and bought this fan. It installed just as easily as the Hunter and flipped it on. NO SOUND WHATSOEVER. It is perfectly quiet and operates smoothly. I recommend this fan to anyone and a Hunter fan only to my enemies (since I went through 4 of them over a 2.5 year span.) Perfect fan for the bedroom. Only good thing that I can say about Hunter is that I am now a professional ceiling fan installer.
