Love my new Kingston Brass Heritage Faucet...it is ATTRACTIVE & FUNCTIONAL!
By John T. Matrunich on Reviewed in the United States on December 5, 2015
After pushing through nearly 10 years with two sub-standard and ugly Delta Faucets (both leaked after 2 years of minimal use...there are only TWO ADULTS here in our home and we do NOT over use or abuse our sink faucets), I purchased this great Kingston Brass faucet based on aesthetics and MANY online reviews. Although pricey, this is a great faucet and I am extremely happy with my purchase. For starters, THIS IS A HEAVY BRASS, gorgeous CHROME-PLATED faucet that feels substantial and durable... the entire faucet mechanism is HEAVY! Our ONLY GLITCH was the FIRST faucet (our first purchase of this exact faucet) HAD A SPLIT IN THE ACTUAL BRASS ALONG THE BRIDGE, which caused a pin-hole leak (can you believe it)? What are the chances of the actual BRASS being split??? Upon searching and searching, securing & reconnecting connections and searching again, my husband discovered a small split along the rear of the bridge! So we immediately contacted Amazon and returned the defective faucet. We were immediately given return/refund instructions from Amazon and because we loved the faucet so much, we immediately ordered a second Kingston Brass KS1271ALBS Heritage Faucet. Upon ordering a second faucet (no hassles, second one was shipped with an additional charge to our credit card for the second faucet...first faucet was credited back to our account upon receipt by Amazon Returns), we removed the first faucet, dried everything off, repackaged the defective faucet and dropped the item off at our local United Parcel Service/Fed Ex storefront for its return to the Amazon Fullfillment Center. This Heritage collection faucet is attractive and goes very well in our 160-year old farmhouse kitchen. Style truly is old "Victorian" and is very attractive and easy to clean. The double handle kitchen faucet includes a 8" centerset setup with a 360-degree turn swivel hook spout, so CHECK YOUR MEASUREMENTS and make sure the upper faucet "swivel" mechanism et al "clears" your back splash...that seems to be the biggest "hazard. The hot/cold handles move in a 1/4-turn rotation, which I like. Everything fits/feels tight. We have no drips, no leaks. Per usual, installment was a bit of pain, as my husband had to contort himself, then brace himself for the arduous, under-sink, usual "faucet replacement installment nigthmare." Obviously, it is MUCH easier to install an initial faucet in new construction versus remove an old, broken faucet, replace a faucet, remove a defective new faucet, replace a faucet, etc. But all is good! Water pressure is extraordinary and a HUGE plus is a pot "sprayer" that is actually BRASS (and not your usual typical plastic). Love everything about my new faucet! It is super-durable, functional and attractive!!

Poorly Machined & Assembled
By JMR on Reviewed in the United States on August 10, 2020
Do not buy this faucet. It’s super pretty but it has been nothing but trouble and customer service at Kingston Brass is so, so, so incredibly bad. It’s been two years since we purchased the KS1278A1BS Heritage kitchen faucet. In addition to the installation issues we had due to the poorly machined product Kingston Brass produces (comments on that below) we experienced a significant faucet failure in May 2022. While in use, hot water began violently spraying on me, my counter tops, walls and flooding onto my wood floors. Even though Kingston Brass says they provide a 10 year warranty, they apparently do not mean it. They won’t replace their defective faucet nor have they sent the correct parts to repair the faucet. When we call the company, we usually are put into someone’s voicemail, no one bothers to return the call or we talk to really rude, unhelpful people. I’ve emailed, sent photos and provided all the specifics Kingston Brass requests. Weeks ago we were told by a representative that they want me to send a video of the problem so they can see what’s happening. I asked if they were going to pay for new wood floors in my house after I shot the video. After four weeks of dealing with their nonsense, I was sent inlet gaskets that go on the plumbing UNDER the sink. The water is spraying from their garbage faucet, it’s not coming from under the sink. FROM MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY OR YOU ARE RISKING BODILY INJURY FROM HOT WATER SPRAY AND DAMAGE TO YOUR HOME AND BE LEFT TRYING TO DEAL WITH A COMPANY THAT DOES NOT CARE ABOUT SAFETY OR QUALITY. The KS1278A1BS Heritage kitchen faucet is poorly machined and assembled. One of the inner pieces of the handle was put on so tightly that it caused the handle to push further back than where it was supposed to sit when in the off position. Also, the faucet spout was assembled backwards per Kingston Brass documentation and the inlet shanks are too short to extend far enough below a standard quartz countertop to allow the water lines to be tightly screwed onto the inlet shanks. Kingston Brass either needs to make a thiner lock nut or not be so cheap and add a few more threads onto the inlet shank so the water lines can be attached.
