Milwaukee 2426-20 Milwaukee 2426-20 M12 12 Volt

The tool worked great until a battery prong from the tool broke off and stayed in battery. I sent the tool and the battery with the broken prong still lodged inside to Milwaukee service and and recieved a new tool in less than a week. Great service. BUT... They kept my fairly new battery, bad only because it had the broken prong lodged in the contact. When I called I was told "There is no warranty on batteries". "But it was bad only because the defective tool left a broken prong in it". "But batteries aren't warranted". "But the defective tool caused the problem with the battery. If nothing else I would expect the tech to try removing the prong." "But barreries are not covered under warranty. "But the defect in the tool made the battery non usable". "Do you want it back?" "I guess I do, I will try to dig the prong out. I sent it with the tool originally because I was afraid I would further damage the battery". A very illogical conversation. Edit: I did receive the battery back a few days later although the broken prong is still lodged inside the contact. Thanks for that at least.
