IF YOU LIKE IT, 'BUY IT".

I fell for this table set when I saw it and after watching the Outdoor Interiors video about it. I just couldn't afford the $1000+ price tag so I placed it on my "save for later" list. Finally it came on sale for just under $900. It was packaged securely, nothing moved around or knocked in the box. The color was a medium-oak and it matches other unrelated eucalyptus furniture I bought. I set it up. The table can be opened and closed by one person, you just have to stretch your arms as far to the two ends as you can and raise the ends a little like the instructions say to get the table to turn. I did hear the "click" signaling the table is locked in place. There is also a latch under the table for additional locking security when the table is open. The folding chairs opened and closed without a single squeak and the cushions surprised me. They covered the entire chair seat perfectly and although not that thick, they are very good. I could not feel the chair through them and they are comfortable. The chairs are strong, I weigh over 200 lbs. and not a squeak to be heard. They store perfectly under the table but you may want to store the cushions elsewhere. The chairs won't fold all the way with the cushions on them and you cannot fit them all under the table with the chairs without squishing some of them. The set looked a little dull when I took it out of the box and I did not know which type or brand of linseed oil to wipe it down with; I don't want it to turn that weathered gray color. I phoned Outdoor Interiors. They were extremely helpful and sold me some of their linseed oil. I was told the dull look of the table is a "no worry"; that I have to remember that from manufacturing to actually being bought and opened, the table set has been sitting in its packaging; just wipe it down with the linseed oil and let it dry. I have not done this yet because I am not ready to use the set. I put the set back in its box for now. The wheels work perfectly. In my opinion the set is worth the $1000+ price tag but I am so-o-o glad I caught it on sale.

Badly damaged in transit
By Robin on Reviewed in the United States on September 21, 2012
This is a tough one: the set looks like it could be really lovely, and construction quality seems quite good, however it arrived terribly packaged, and badly damaged: so bad that we refused delivery on the spot. Aside from the disappointment, it is a little concerning how easily ripped off the hinges were, and how bendy the top was (even acknowledging that they had clearly taken some big hits).
