how was able to live without this?
By skye cohen on Reviewed in the United States on February 5, 2014
I'm a finish carpenter and had read a blog about how euro carpenters use these knives a lot. i also wear overalls with a button closure and the sheathes these things come with can clip onto a button like that. i can barely think of going to work without one now. they are easy to sharpen, very high quality steel for amazingly cheap. if you are thinking about it, just hit the buy button, they are awesome.

Interesting knife
By Rob the Toolman on Reviewed in the United States on December 29, 2016
Update:I've been using this knife for a few weeks now and I'm changing my 4/5 star review to 3 stars. The reason is because of the chisel grind; it's ground on both sides which makes it very difficult to use as a chisel. When you start hitting on it, it digs into the wood and is very hard to control how deep it cuts (compared to a normal chisel with only one bevel).I've never owned a knife like this before, but a friend of mine recommended it... and well, I'm a sucker for knifes. The knife is sharp and seems to keep it's edge pretty well. I'm not sure how far the tang of the knife goes into the handle, but the whole thing seems solid. This isn't exactly like a chisel, because both sides are beveled whereas a chisel has only one sharpened side. The one thing I don't like about it is the sheath... my knife doesn't always enter the sheath correctly and the way it latches to a belt isn't very sturdy; I doubt it would hold up to daily use. I plan on putting this knife into my tool belt and using it around my woodshop.I had a difficult time finding information on where this is made. The knife has no markings, and the Hultafors website doesn't say anything which, in my opinion, is kind of suspect (especially because their axes are all very boldly labeled "MADE IN SWEDEN").
