Frigidaire Heater Assembly - Dryer

Dryer stopped drying, looked up why, element probably died, searched Amazon for dryer element by make/ model. Found exact match, great price, slow to arrive. Package was in good condition. Warning- you have to disassemble 90% of this dryer to get to back wall of the unit to change out this style. I'm a good DIY'er and got to know every little thing about my dryer. Took me several hours for this project. Although I cleaned all the lint/ dirt along the way with my shopvac. I also replaced the drum drive belt and bicycle tire tube looking gasket on the lower exhaust pipe (the joint from the blower motor that hooks up the exhaust/outlet pipe) which was blowing lint/debris into the interior of the dryer. I also replaced the foam gasket that seals the intake of the blower motor to the rear of the front face of the dryer. Those two items going bad (10 years old) could have easily led to a dryer fire...As soon as the dryer was completely clean and the element and gaskets changed, it took me about 20 minutes to put back together. I also cleaned out the old grease off the drum ball on the rear bearing (what the drum mounts to and spins on, the rear wall of the dryer) and re-packed with high-temp white lithium grease.As soon as it was all back together I threw in a load of clean wet clothes and turned it on and it worked right away, no odors no issues. Two years ago and still running like new!
