645 Piece Capacitor Kit

I have been helping a kid fairly new to electronics get a good base collection of parts, this kit is well priced for the selection and it is a good selection that will have the right value caps for all but bigger electrolytic caps. If you are planning projects like power supplies, higher power audio amps, or even 555 circuits where an electrolytic cap is used in an RC network for timing you'll need to augment this kit with some bigger ones. Other than that this has any cap you'll generally need and each value is packed in labeled re-sealable pouch that can be used for years and just refill as needed but have them nicely organized and not need a half a wall of parts bins. Until you get good enough to design around the parts you have or modify designs you find to use them, having a good selection is key to quickly building most of the vast number of published schematics on the net. You can put together your own collection easy enough but unless you are buying a lot, it will be hard to beat the price, I would easily recommend this to anyone starting out, and then hit places like Goldmine Electronic for surplus cap grab bags to refill this kit as you use them.
