These are great grill pans!

I was skeptical on buying these. But for $20 for the whole set, I figured I’d give them a chance. So glad I did! They are well made—every part. The cast iron pan is sturdy, the wooden tray is finished and the pan sits in it nicely and lastly, the heat sleeve also displays quality materials and workmanship. When they arrived, I washed the pan in hot soapy water and then towel dried. Coated with some olive oil and popped them in the oven at 400 degrees. Left them in the oven for about 20 mins. Took them out and placed the pork chops on them (I had cooked them in a frying pan in the oven) A nice sizzling sound could be heard!! They kept the chops hot for at least 25 mins. The only downside is they are on the small side. You could use the these for fajitas, strip steaks, ribeyes—however, no way will a T-bone fit. They were easy to clean. Just soapy water and rinse. then I recoated them with olive oil after towel drying and put them back in the oven for a bit. They feel as though they are preseasoned already, but I always take care of ALL my cast iron this way. Keeps it forever young!!

Disapointing
By DocBrown on Reviewed in the United States on March 14, 2023
My rating is more for the way this is presented and not the item itself. This was returned. It was tough to tell by the photos and description but this is very small. The description says you can cook in it, but the beveled sides aren't very high and would be difficult to keep food in while sauteing. Overall this isn't bad, but it is more for display as a single serving dish. Yes, I should have looked at the measurements, but it really didn't seem there was a need to. Otherwise it seemed fine for what it appears intended as. For those who said it rusted, you need to look up how to care for cast iron. You cannot wash them they way you wash other cookware. That said, there were no instructions with this that provided those cautions, but every cast iron pan we've seen and own came with care instructions so as to prevent rust.
