Great replacement couler
By Dennis H. Foster on Reviewed in the United States on March 6, 2015
Great tool that eliminates the rush of air when you detach the tool. I've been using these for several years now. They used to make one in Male thread too but it looks like they discontinued it. I love these things. Too hard to use? I don't think so!! The ONLY issue I've had is that one of the ones I have (and I have several in use) sticks once in a while and air will rush out of it when unhooking the tool. I just give it a quick rap on the bench and it's fixed.

Tiny stiff blue ring is required to be turned to install, then again to remove, every time.
By david s raistrick on Reviewed in the United States on July 17, 2017
Let me start this off with all the things I loved about this - just out of the box, I thought this was "it" and would be the best ever. Compact - a lot of the composite housing couplers are 1.5-2x the size of metal couplers, this is just about the same size. Easy contoured grip slide Fits high flow and industrial (and others, but I didnt try them) fittings without leaking (at least in initial testing) rebuildable - with a small mount of effort you can replace all of the orings in it. Now where it failed horribly: That cool "pressure regulator" feature? it's the thin blue ring at the back. It's also -required- every time you insert a fitting that you turn it from zero to your chosen setting (full, in most reality). Then to remove a fitting, you turn it from full back to zero, THEN slide the coupler release back. That blue ring is small and stiff. I can barely turn it. It might break in eventually, but it would still be a 2 step 2 hand release every time. It's completely a nonstarter for me. For those who might be interested: Since I loved the fitting otherwise, I decided to try removing the regulator ring to see if it would operate as a "normal" coupler. But it wouldn't function at all without the ring installed. Next attempt was to sacrifice it and remove the bumps that prevent the coupler from sliding back when the regulator is set to non-zero. That worked. Almost. I can install and uninstall fittings......but removing a fitting doesn't shut off airflow. Only setting the regulator to zero shuts of airflow - there's no spring valve in this unit that's opened/closed by the fitting. Astro - how about a version of this for normal humans? A "non-safety" version (or "safety" like prevost's where the fitting is captured during release to prevent ejection) that doesnt need the regulator to be turned all the time would be 5 stars for me.
