Great set, great price, long battery life
By David S. on Reviewed in the United States on September 9, 2017
I am very happy with this set. I have plenty of AC power tools, but I now live off the grid, and they are not practical on solar power. This set is a great alternative to my AC tools, with plenty of power and a great price. I do not need them too often, but they have proven their worth multiple times over already. The battery charger works fine on solar, both modified sine and pure sine inverters. I am still getting used to the circular saw--its blade is on the opposite side of my standard saw, but I can see the benefit of using what I consider a left-hand saw. The drill has plenty of power, as does the reciprocating saw, and the batteries last long enough that I can get most jobs done easily. I added the grinder to the kit and plan to add the impact driver. The grinder is awesome--nearly as good as a plug-in model.

Pros: * Most inexpensive professional grade * Many tools in the 20V linked set * Drill is strong * 4.0 amp battery is great and lasts a while Cons: * Amazon Prime took a week to deliver this product (not two days). I ordered late on Monday, tools arrived the following Monday. Took a star off for this. * Sawzall is kinda weak * Flashlight is weak and not very adjustable * No hard case option. Took a star off for thus as most "pro" grade tools have a hard case option (DeWalt, Busch, etc). This one is more of a gripe, as the only PC tools you can get a hard case for are the impact and driver and that's only if you buy them as a set or buy the box sepperatly from someone who didn't want it Who this is for: * Professional that uses power tools on a semi-regular basis * DIY-er that wants a little more umph compared to Black and Decker, Ryobi, Bostich, Kobalt, etc. Who this isn't for: * Professional that uses power tools on a daily basis and relies on them to work without a problem, always, for years. Stick to the pricey brands for that Food for thought: DeWalt, Porter Cable, Bostich, and Black and Decker are all owned by Stanley. The quality of their tools are in that order. Porter Cable and DeWalt are considered "pro" grade and Bostich and Black and Decker are consider "consumer" grade as per Stanley's own definition.
