Grab, Go, Fix: The Tool-Check Plus Set - Effortless Solutions for Fast Fixes
By TechSpec on Reviewed in the United States on December 1, 2023
Fantastic set for on the go repairs! Here's my take on this nifty little set. First off, the size is a game-changer. It's small enough to toss into my glove compartment, yet it packs all the essentials. I've waved goodbye to lugging around a bulky toolbox for minor fixes. The variety of bits and sockets in this set is nothing short of amazing. Whether I'm dealing with a stubborn Phillips head screw or those tricky torx screws, this kit has got me covered. It's like having a mini tool box in your drawer or glove box, ready for just about any screw profile you might encounter. The ratchet in this set deserves a special mention. We've all been there, trying to fix something in an awkward, cramped space. This ratchet, with its fine-tooth mechanism, has been a lifesaver. It delivers solid torque and the small return angle means I can work in tight spots without needing a lot of room to maneuver. What I also love is the magnetic bit holder – a small detail, but it's a big deal when you're up a ladder and need to swap bits quickly. No fumbling, no dropping bits, just a smooth, quick change, and you're good to go. As for durability, after over a year of use, my Tool Check Plus is still going strong. It's taken a few drops (don't ask) and been through various weather conditions, but the quality and robustness of these tools have stood the test of time. Wera wasn't messing around when they put this set together. The ergonomic design is the icing on the cake. Long hours of DIY projects can be tough on the hands, but this set is comfortable to use. The ratchet handle, especially, fits nicely in my palm, making the work less of a strain. Ultimately, the Tool Check Plus is a compact, versatile, and robust toolkit that's ideal for anyone who needs a reliable set for everyday tasks. Whether you're in the car and on the go or in the house, you can be prepared for whatever DIY challenges come your way, this is one toolkit you'll want to have at your side.

Good quality hardware, Poor Tool holder
By Brian H. Lee on Reviewed in the United States on September 27, 2022
Tool holder bought this tool kit mostly visually it looks well organise and quick to access to the tool needed. i would say the concept and design is all there, plastic case/tool holder is durable and a bit flexible so its unlikely to crack when you drop it to the ground. But this is also the unsatisfied bit i am also experience, its a bit too flexible and doesn’t lock in to a close position firmly. So the flicking action with the tools bits out kinda feels like a book flapping around with pages flying all over (exaggeration) However, the socket takes a bit of caveman strength to pull out. Let’s just say its Not a one hand operation, and you know when you don’t always have both hands available. Socket holder in the picture shown is using a basic metal clips design. But i guess its better then a loose socket holder. I just know that they have really nice twist to unlock socket holder strip for the 3/8” socket i have, and wishing they would of done the same here. The ratchet holder also will take some practice to not over do it when unlocking it with a sliding motion, it does pop out of the track with not much effort……i did notice from some picture from the review and the instruction given, there is another version of the case/holder with a locking tap. Not sure if thats the updated version or an older one. Having that version would not leave me writing this review. LOL Good Tools As expected from Wera, they are what they are and its got nice detail and its solid and well labelled. I would also say the tool bits has a nice feel to it, not too much effort to pull the bits out (to a point your finger feels like you’ve done a full session bouldering) AND it does stay secure…. a cool feature with the second roll to bits fans out for easier excess for figures.
