Compound in name only.

The only thing compound about these cutters is in the name. I really can't tell any difference in cutting force between these cutters and other cutters I have. They are heavier and do not open as wide as other cutters I have. The jaws work very smooth and they are sharp but no advantage in force required to to cut a given cable compared to other cutters.
