Great screen for taking with you!
By You Know My Name (Look Up The Number) on Reviewed in the United States on July 16, 2018
If you are looking for something permanent to use in your yard, there are better options. This screen is great for taking with you to friend’s or family’s houses. It’s also great if you only occasionally plan to watch movies or TV (think All-Star game, Sunday football games) where it’s not really something you do all the time. Like all products, they have strengths and weaknesses. This product is great because it’s simple to use, it take minimal effort to assemble and put away, and while it’s in use, it does that job well. The screen is a good quality canvas style material which has both strength and reflectivity. It also folds easily and comes with a bag just for the screen. Because it folds, creasing occurs, but when viewing the screen with a movie playing, you don’t see the creasing. Also, it basically becomes a non-issue because you can pull the screen taught using the straps. It tightens at the bottom and along one side to remove the unwanted creases. It’s really that simple. The frame construction is also nice. It’s powder coated aluminum and each larger piece of the frame is actually 3 pieces which connect together. These three pieces are connected permanently with a short cable and the ends connect easily with a spring loaded connector much like you find on adjustable wheelchairs, walkers, crutches or canes. Since everything is symmetrical, it doesn’t matter which way you connect the pieces! It’s self-explanatory although instructions are screen-printed onto a sheet which is sewn into the bag which contains the frame pieces. Very convenient if you are having difficulties. But the side pieces are interchangeable, the top has curved ends (which I recommend you install last), and the bottom is just a straight piece which connects into small parts which make the side pieces obvious which direction they need to be spun. The feet are easily connected and can be placed in either direction. It comes with stakes, spikes and ropes to hold the screen steady in windy conditions. Takes about 15-20 minutes taking your time and being careful to setup and/or to break down. If I had a car bigger than a Celica, I’d have gotten the next size up, but this screen is plenty large enough for most any gathering to enjoy a movie together.I use an Altec-Lansing boombox (the inMotion i7) which was made primarily for iPod use back in 2006 for stereo sound. It has plenty of kick, even for outdoors. It has an auxiliary input so that works well for me. I hardly crank its volume. I would love to, but the neighbors may not like it unless they’re invited, too. lol I also plan to use the Altec-Lansing mini-Lifejacket 2 because I’m sure this would also be loud enough for small audiences without lugging the larger boombox.I use an Acer HD video projector with 2500 lumens and it shows great on this screen after the sun fades over the horizon. Even when the occasional outdoor porch light went on during my latest viewing at my friend’s home, it still reflected plenty of image without the indirect light from the Auto-porch light from affecting it.I mulled over several options before buying this one, including constructing my own, but this screen really does what it’s meant to do. Provide a good, bright, clean image for projectors. It also doesn’t hurt that it’s on a small to modest budget. I highly recommend this for those who enjoy the idea of movie fun outdoors.

This is portable, and a smallish in size, think 90 inch TV size
By Zen on Reviewed in the United States on September 19, 2019
This is approx. 7ft x 4ft about the size of a 90" TV (measured diagonally). It is very potable and easy to assemble. It comes in 3 bags which I recommend you label Main, Poles, Screen right away to for easy to store, since they are all about the same size.Pros:First think I liked is the metal wire running inside the aluminum poles. This adds strength and makes assembly easy. There are 4 main poles and 2 footers. They all collaspse (not the footers, they are small already)Good size for a small backyard, not the movie in the park size.Cons:The holes for the connector pins were ALL misdrilled and I happened to have a Dremmel tool right there so it took just minute to grind the holes to the right location. Without a Dremmel this would have gone back immediatelyThere was a stain om mine at the top, not horrible but it looked like water dripped there and discolored the screen. I used a Tide stick to try and get it out, waiting on resultsThe screen is off-white and not white - not sure if this is a con or not, but I was surprisedSince this screen was folded to store and ship, it has a serious crease down the center of it. I have had it up for a few days to stretch the crease out of it, but no luck. I might try steaming it. In my opinion this should be rolled not folded. It sounds like kind of a negative review, but problems aside, it is exactly what I wanted. A once a month movie screen for 5 - 8 kids that I can put up and take down easily. First movie night is coming up, will update review then,
