A must for protecting trailer tires!
By Ash on Reviewed in the United States on July 12, 2016
I just purchased new tires for my horse trailer (always an expensive $500-700 or so drop) and purchased these after reading glowing reviews the same day. They promptly arrived and I was not dissapointed! I have never purchased tire covers before, so I didn't have much to compare to. I ordered these covers in the 29" size and fit very nicely over my set of 4 standard 225/75/15 trailer tires. They might be a tad on the big side, but that just makes them easier to get on/off and not a big deal to me. My previous set of trailer tires were never covered and even though they lasted many years, eventually started to show signs of failure (cracking, bruises, tire rot, etc) prematurely before the tread wore out. Also the climate here is very hot and dry and it really took a toll on the old tires. Since I sprung for higher quality/load rating tires this time, I wanted to protect them! Quality: These covers are surprisingly high quality and super soft. I can not vouch for their durability yet as I just put them on last night, but my guess is they will outlast the tires themselves. The outside is strongly waterproofed while the inside of the covers are a very soft material. I feel like I'm spoiling my tires. Usage/Application: The way these are designed to cover your tires is to slip over the wheels (elastic on the back around the wheel bearings) and be tied down with a rope string in the back. (See 3rd pic) That process was a little too much work rather than a zipper or Velcro or something else; I had to get down on the ground and throw the strings under the trailer to reach around. That may be too much of an inconvenience if I need to get my trailer quickly so I may resort to leaving the strings off and just trusting the elasticity on the backs to stay put. Unless there's strong winds or a storm, I don't see why they'd ever come off anyways. Maybe for long term storage? Then sure, tie those suckers down. Overall- super happy with this purchase and for less than $40, I can get years more use out of my investments. These covers were very high quality and like I said: I feel like I'm spoiling rubber tires. Haha Thanks for reading and good luck!

Cords are a PITA, buy bungies
By Wannabe Cowboy on Reviewed in the United States on March 22, 2023
I've used these covers over the years and they have been really good at protecting my tires from the Texas sun. they've held up well, too. But the new ones now have tie off CORDS whereas the previous ones had balled BUNGIES. The bungies were simple to loop through, pull around and secure over the balled end. The tension kept the cover down in place. The cords seem durable but they are simply way too long and trying to cinch them up behind the wheel is a PITA. I used some remaining bungies on a few, and will buy more bungies before I put on the remaining covers.
