Irwin Hand Brace Utility Pole Auger Bit

Be warned that this bit will only work in a standard drill chuck if the end of it is removed. Cutting a hardened steel bit with a standard hacksaw is a long arduous task. When I contacted Irwin's customer service to complain that there should have been more notice provided of how hard it is to remove the hand brace portion of the bit. Here's the reply, "Yes, the drill bit has cut off to be able to use in hand brace or electric drill. I see on the website where it states "remove" and does not mention it has to be cut. I apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you! If I can be of further assistance, please reply to this email directly so that we can see all previous replies." Drill bit works great however.
