Works like a charm!

No one out there does a good job of explaining some critical info the home owner needs to know. So... if you are wanting to automate and control your Heat/AC equipment over the internet or via an App remotely. You need to know how many wires you have in the wall. The old wires with conductor or less... will work with this Honeywell system, but you need a control module at the equipment. The brains are in the control module. However new stats today have all the brains and capability built right into the stat. So... if you have NEW wiring like 4-6 pairs of wires then all you need is the stat and a. REDLINK Internet wifi Gateway device. This pairs to the stat / plugs into the modem/router and allows you to control from afar. If you "LIKE ME" have older 4 wires or less in the wall, you will have to buy 3 items. 1) The stat, 2) The control module and 3) The Redlink Gateway.

Cannot get them installed

I am so fed up with this. I bought three of them last year to replace the three old ones I have (zoned system). I have had four electricians out to install them. Three of them declined to do so. The fourth said that I needed an extra bit in order to make it work. I ordered the extra bit. Now he says that I need three of them(!) and suggested thatI return them and get a Nest thermostat instead. Help!
