Barska HQ300 Biometric Keypad Safe

I've owned this safe for around 5 months now. I should have sent it back a long time ago. I keep my pain medication and jewelry in it so I have to open it daily. I take out all of my medication for the day in the morning because this thing is so loud while it's attempting to scan your finger print that it wakes my husband up and there is no light inside so I'd have to turn the light on. Thank goodness I don't keep a gun in it for protection because it takes anywhere from 3 to 20 tries to open it with your finger print. I keep a lens cloth on top of it to clean the scanner but that doesn't help either. There have been a few times when it actually opened the first time. We tried setting a pin code but it wouldn't work. I'll have to re-read the instructions on that because the fingerprint recognition does not work well at all. If you were thinking this would be a quick way to get your gun out to protect your family, think again. The loud beeping would let an intruder know exactly where you are and you'd be dead before it would read your fingerprint. I paid 260.00 for this safe and I would not recommend it to anyone!
