DeWalt’s most versatile model
By tripleto on Reviewed in the United States on May 13, 2025
There are less expensive models of this kind of DeWalt drill, but this particular DeWalt model should be in every builder’s arsenal. The amount of torque with the 3 speed selections makes it a winner along with a useable variable speed trigger that is easy to operate. Also, it can fit into really tight places. I used it on every single repair job in my unit in Florida this past winter.

Works great but issues with the lowest speed setting.
By Brian D on Reviewed in the United States on May 26, 2024
I purchased this driver for use on a kitchen remodel job. I connected a fully charged 5Ah battery and set the driver to low speed, everything seemed to work great. When driving screws it would suddenly just stop driving. No low battery indications (e.g., slow down in the motor speed). I was using a 5Ah battery and changed to a fully charged 2Ah. The driver would not work at all with the 2Ah battery. I returned the driver thinking it was defective. The replacement did exactly the same thing. I tried the higher speed settings and it worked fine. So now that I figured out the slow speed setting has an issue it is working great. Additionally, speed settings 2 & 3 both work fine with the 2Ah battery.
