Loved it and was effective until it quit working prematurely!

I normally go outside and get eaten alive. We purchase this in March in southeast Indiana. I live in a area that has ponds everywhere and a creek in my back yard. I had already gotten bit in March. We plugged it in and within a few weeks I was no longer getting bitten. It was catching mosquitoes and other pesky flying insects. After 2 months the light quit working. I ordered a replacement and plugged it in and it didn't work either. Not sure what the problem is but we are trying to contact the company and get a replacement. It hasn't been in operating order for about a week and a half now. I sat outside just now and was bitten 4 times on the foot. I was outside for maybe a half hour. Obviously it was working before that. Fingers crossed that we get a replacement and that it lasts alot longer than 2 months! Update on this review! The manufacturer reached our and are sending a new trap.! So happy customer!

I am torn between loving this product and hating this product. It worked so well until the light bulb went out. It took a long time to get the replacement bulb but I did not realize it would be difficult in the middle of the summer so that is not the reason for this review. Just buy a replacement bulb when ordering. Now this is what's so upsetting.. It was very difficult to replace the bulb regardless of the instructions and YouTube videos. The screws are small and difficult to reach and the cover for the light keeps getting in the way when trying to remove the screws and put them back on. And everything is a very thick plastic so you can't be too heavy handed or something might break. Your also working upside down so thats difficult too. Not only going through all this in the middle of the summer but everything finally gets put back together and it DOESN'T WORK!!!! Just ridiculous and so upsetting! The fan goes on but the light doesn't. I should not have to send this product back because it might be defective. It worked for about 2 months then just like that in the middle of mosquito season it stops. THE PRODUCT SHOULD JUST WORK!!!! PLAIN AND SIMPLE! Shame on the manufacturer for selling a product that has such a short life span. I even raved about this product to anyone who would listen. I'm very regretful for that!
