2PK SYLVANIA LED Light Bulb, 60W Equivalent A19

I purchased a box of “SYLVANIA LED A19 Light Bulb, 60W, 2700K,  - 24 Pack (74765)” in June of 2023. It’s now July 2025 and I just used the last two from the box. They have strictly been used in a bathroom for two vanity lights (3 bulbs each). The vanity lights are downward facing with glass that are not ventilated on top so they end up trapping in all of the heat. Every bulb I have replaced appears to be due to heat. They have all failed due to an LED failure. I have taken a few of the failed bulbs apart just to verify this. They are built decently well. They do have push in connectors internally for the power leads and the capacitor versus being soldered on the board. They do have an aluminum heatsink/shield that is covered by the plastic base. I can’t see how it can actually dissipate much heat though being covered by the plastic so maybe it’s mostly for shielding. The bulbs temps reach around 180f when on. This is using a meat thermometer to take the temp with so actual temp might be higher. I am using a ThermoWorks thermometer but it’s not the right application for it. These are better than any Feit bulb I have used.  I am planning to buy another box of these. It’s frustrating having to replace them so often. I did purchase a different brand of bulb from a very small US based company that claims “Xtreme” duty and a 25,000 hr life (also sold on Amazon). I’m going to test those out. But they are double the price.  For the time being, I did modify one of the last two SYLVANIA bulbs I used by adding a few very small vent holes (4 around the base and two in the diffuser). Hopefully this will create natural convection and help it run cooler internally. I’m using the last bulb as the control.  Ultimately, I probably need a different vanity light with glass that is open on top so it doesn’t trap any heat. I do not believe these bulbs will last 10 years …. Maybe 1-2. The crazy part is that an incandescent 60w light bulb on a 120v circuit with a 0.9pf only uses .55amps. If these use .85amps, they are actually consuming more electricity and they still run hot.
