ABCCANOPY Canopy Sandbags

These sandbags are much sturdier than the ones usually found on Amazon and they actually cost LESS than lower quality ones! Each bag is actually made of two pouches, each holding 15+ pounds of sand. They are a very heavy weight canvas (okay 'oxford cloth') and feature a double zipper on the pouches, keeping the sand in the bags. The two pouches are not separate bags sewn together, they are made from the same lengths of canvas with about 1 inch of multi-layer fabric between them, making them very strong and secure. The two pouches wrap around the legs of the tent and are secured with wide, heavy hook/loop straps. At my last Farmer's Market we had winds of 20-25mph for 3-4 hours. At least two vendors lost their tents entirely and some others were moved by the wind. Mine (also from ABC Canopy, their 'market' series with 1-1/4" steel legs) did flex in the wind and I held it down during the strongest gusts but the legs never moved or lifted at all. I do have two minor quibbles. First, the loops at the top are nice, heavy straps but they are rather short, making it difficult to carry them by the straps. Second, since they wrap completely around the tent leg it is not possible to attach the bottom tie of the side walls, leaving the bottom 18" or so loose and flapping. A minor complaint, I know. I would certainly buy them again (although I doubt I'll ever need to) and have recommended them to several other vendors.
