Excellent Grow Lamps
By J. Gordon on Reviewed in the United States on May 2, 2018
This was the first year growing my veggies from seeds and I needed something to jump start my seeds as we all know the Spring sun simply isn't warm enough. I bought 2 of these and even though they do not emit heat like the old grow lamps of yesteryear, they emit a bluish/pinkish light which really got my seeds popping. I'd but my seedlings in a long tray, hang the light 16 inches above them and within a few days my seeds were jumping. Even those the price was around the $30 mark, these were well worth the money in the long run. These did a fantastic job in getting my plants up and running even those old man Winter was still trying to stick around.

Pink-purple (NOT white) light, a bit weak, still emit some light even when switch is off
By Elise L. on Reviewed in the United States on May 21, 2019
I installed these in a bookshelf to sprout seedlings and to (hopefully) put houseplants under once the seedlings were outside. I wouldn't have bought these if I saw them in person, but they got me through a growing season. PROS: 1. They are the perfect size to fit in a typical 3-foot-wide bookcase. 2. Lightweight enough to be held up by command strips. 3. They emit a very small amount of heat- not enough to be dangerous, but nominally good for sprouting seedlings. 4. They plug into each other so you can chain them together (a nice feature I used.) 5. They successfully sprouted and grew seedlings. CONS: 1. The light is unpleasant and nowhere near daylight or any kind of white (neutral/warm/cool). It is a weird, pink-purple light that you don't want to look at directly, and unless you are inlaying the fixture inside something (like I did), you will absolutely see the piercing light of the LEDs directly out of the sides of the fixture. The color of the light is nominally more pleasant than the true saturated purple/pink/red/blue grow lights, but if you are looking for a home decor accent (like the built-in plant cabinets of the 1970s) then these are NOT the lights you want. 2. The light is strong enough to start seedlings but not to sustain full-sun sprouts (like tomatoes) for any small length of time - they will immediately start to stretch and become very leggy. This was with the light ~6 inches from the plants (the packaging claims the light illuminates a 2x2 foot space - in my experience, it insufficiently illuminated a 10 inch by 2 foot space.) 3. The lights still draw power and emit some light even when the switch is off. Inefficient, not eco friendly, and not OK for plants that require periods of darkness. (I put them on an outlet timer, which worked well.) 4. The fixtures themselves look and feel very cheap.

I love these lamps

These lamps are awesome. Super light weight. They can be set right on top of a cloning trays lid, which produces great humidity, and they are powerful enough to veg my tomatos all the way to flower size, at which time I use a 325w flowering led lamp. You can grow any type of greens solely under this light all the way to harvest. I can grow 4 large heads of romaine/butter crunch under 1 lamp. Growth is perfect, no leaf burn, no signs of spectrum deficiency. Does the job. I ordered more of these to use in every grow tent now, as they seem to be the most efficient and cost effective solution.

Works Great

Saved my indoor plants during the winter months when the sun didn't shine very much. I did not see a spike in my utility bill with use. I picked up a timer so that it would go on during the day as well as evening hours.
Excellent

Very pleased with this light. Very light weight and easy to install. I like that they can interconnect. My plants look great so I plan to get another. Was recommended by a plant expert on YouTube planteriordecorator.
Light output is far too low for growing

Light output is far too low for growing. PAR readings are terrible. I bought some cheap $7 LED floodlights from Home Depot in the 3000K light spectrum that output more than six times as much LUX as the FEIT LEDs. My plants have done great under them and terrible under the FEIT ones.
This is not the item I bought previously.

Edit; To clarify, I checked before I requested a return -- the lights I have installed are model #74302, which is what this product listing describes. The light I received twice when I tried to order more of them is model GLP24FS which is a different (not full/blue spectrum) color. Very frustrated... I can't find a way to talk to the seller about this, so I guess product feedback it is. I have 3 of these lights. They've worked beautifully for months. I went into my Amazon order history and chose the "Buy It Again" option to get a fourth light, and complete my 4-shelf plant stand. I was sent a dead light, returned it, and bought another. The light I received this time was a different product. The box still says "blue spectrum", but it's not a white light. The LEDs alternate white and red, emitting a RED light. Not yellow, not "warm"; it's fire-engine red. (It's not malfunctioning LEDs either -- I can see that the red LEDs are red when the light is off.) I assumed this was a mistake, since it's clearly not the item I bought last year. I packaged it back up, requested an Amazon return on the basis of "wrong product", and bought another. I received the red-colored light again. I guess Feit straight up changed the product associated with this listing? I don't know how to get a 4th white/blue light if not through this listing. I'm hesitant to buy it from a big box store, wary they've switched to the red lights too. I'm pretty bummed out, y'all. On the lookout for other brands, I guess :( If you're looking for a red light, have at it.
Grow Light That Saves Electricity and Produces Great Plants

This 2 foot long grow light is all LEDs. It costs much less to run and makes plants grow at least as well as my old grow light. It is light weight and very bright. Overall, with the 50,000 hour life expectation, I believe this is the best option for a grow light.
Does it’s job but way over priced.

I received the full spectrum light when the price was better than Home Depot. Is growing my indoor starts beautifully. When I went to buy more the price doubled which is why I docked stars. It was totally worth 5 stars at the first price but anything over $40 makes it not worth the cost at all.
and love them. I use to grow microgreens

I bought two of these in January 2018, and love them. I use to grow microgreens. I wanted to buy a few more, but when I clicked my previous order for repurchase, the price went up $20 per unit. I found them cheaper somewhere else.
