Battery failed in about a year

I really like this trimmer. It's light enough that I don't wear our my shoulder trimming the yard, but powerful enough that it can handle the work. The battery held enough charge that I could do the entirety of the trimming in one pass.*** Update*** Black and Decker is replacing the trimmer and battery. Very great service. No hassle at all.After a year and one month of owning, and being used maybe 15 times, the battery was completely dead when I took it off the charge station. I put it back on, and the indicator light began flashing red rapidly. The internet told me that this is a sign of a bad battery. I tried a couple of 'reset fixes' but nothing worked. A new battery is almost as expensive as getting a whole new trimmer. I'm going to check for a warranty, or something, but still disappointed.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

This trimmer is one of the more expensive battery trimmers made by Black and Decker. It's actually marketed as "Easy Feed". Its anything but that. For starters the "holding slots" on the spool will break off almost immediately (very cheap plastic). Without these two slots you will be unable to effectively install the spool properly without the line unraveling inside spool before you can put cap containing the line on the trimmer thus preventing the so-called "Easy Feed" from working right from the start. No matter though, because even if in the holding slots don't break immediately the line will begin to unravel anyway once you install spool and release the line from holding slots, thus causing the line to tangle and not feed when you depress the easy feed button. You may get lucky once and actually have the feed work the first time you depress the button, but I promise you it will be a rare occurrence . You will spend more time dealing with line that actually using the trimmer. If you buy this trimmer you WILL be disappointed.
