Flaky connections, but useable parts
By TruthTeller on Reviewed in the United States on November 17, 2019
I bought this bore light because of ratings and price. The fiber and vinyl (?) mounting hood are good. The flashlight is pretty weak, though it might be overpowering if too much more bright. The switch didn't work right out of the package (very cheap). I disassembled it to make sure there was a battery and no plastic strip to be removed (none) and reassembled unit. Lights fine now until 4th time to try, then fails to turn on thru 2 on/off cycles. I shook it and it lit up; contact spring circuit is just cheap. The really good thing is; this is a cheap light, and the vinyl hood/light fiber is a very common size and fits several of my AAA flashlights well. Judging by the reviews on several of these low cost bore lights, this one has the least negative reviews. I couldn't justify spending big bucks for a bore light when I can stick a clean patch in the receiver, illuminate it and do the same thing. This is easy to use, much quicker and handier than a patch and cheap enough to justify the convenience.
