Reliable, affordable, expandable, adjustable, and easy to use!

Reliable, affordable, expandable, adjustable, and easy to use! I'm so glad I found this "alert" system! I say "Alert" as its not truly an "Alarm" system. Although it does have the ability to tie into an existing alarm system. I live out in the countryside on a private acre of land and have a regular home alarm system. The home alarm system covers all of the windows and doors and motion within the house. But I wanted something that would alert me to folks on the property before they even get near the house. And this system fills that need perfectly! A little side story here - about a year ago I ran into a guy on my property walking thru the trees carrying a chainsaw case. Nothing too out of the ordinary with that right? He's looking for firewood and happened to stray onto my property. But when this guy saw me he dropped the chainsaw case and ran. And what do you think was in the chainsaw case? Not a chainsaw! It was full of tools for breaking into a house. Anyways, this alert system is great! You can put the sensors in trees, on a post at the entrance to your dirt road driveway, whatever. Setup your alert zones with a different chime/sound for each zone so you know exactly where your perimeter has been crossed. I have 2 receivers that are paired to all of my sensors. One receiver is in the house and the other receiver is out in my shop which is where I spend most of my time. Both receivers play the exact same chime/sound for the sensor that was triggered. I have also wired up +12v l.e.d strobe lights to the receivers so that at night when a perimeter sensor is tripped my visitor will know long before they get to the house that I am aware of them. Receiver units in the system have battery backup in case of power outages, and the receivers will let you know when, and which, sensors batteries are in need of replacement. All-in-all Guardline did a great job with this product. For the price point it can't be beat. I have all of my sensors dialed in really good now so false trips are pretty rare too. Although deer and anything as big as a human IS going to trip the system. But hey, you want to know about the brown bear who's eating your blueberries off the bushes too right?! I'd rather know he's there, when he's there, before I step in his scat or round a corner on him unawares. Bottom line, I give it a big thumbs up. I'm a proud owner

FAILURE!
By SunnyFL55 on Reviewed in the United States on June 8, 2023
Update: 10/25/23 I am tired of trying to get this alarm to work. Lately the sensors are going off nonstop and no cars or animals are around. I have taken the sensors off their posts, checked for any moisture, changed batteries, but sensors continue to go off in error. I also examined the receiver, changed batteries, reset the system, still does not fix the alarm system. I am tossing this one and installing a different system. Failure. Spent too much for this to happen. I bought this system in 2020 directly from Guardline. My neighbor and I were able to install it without too much difficulty. The tiny screws for the sensors are horrible. Over time I did routine maintenance on the sensors and receiver: changing the batteries, cleaning spiderwebs and dirt from the sensors, adjusting them due to squirrels. The system performed rather well. However, over the past 6 months one of the sensors stopped working. I replaced the batteries, cleaned the unit, reset it, but still couldn't get it to work. So I went to Amazon to see if I could buy just one sensor to replace the nonworking one. I was ready to place an order but….thanks to the previous reviewers here I discovered the available sensors would not work with my existing system because Guardline changed the frequency and a new sensor is incompatible with my version. I thought about scrapping my system and buying another product but in the end decided to buy an entire new Guardline system. It would hopefully be less work. I received the new one quickly and installed the batteries. NOTE: several typos in the instructions, the receiver requires AAA not AA batteries. And they are still using those horrible tiny screws. Yesterday I installed the sensors, took me about 2 hrs and 2 calls to Guardline, one nonhelpful guy told me to watch a video 🤬. I finally got both units to work after resetting the system but what an ordeal. It shouldn't be this difficult. I hope this new system works as well as the old one.
