Great device for homeowners

A fantastic little unit for any homeowner that does pruning of trees and vines. I don't know where those negative reviews are coming from, but they must be from folks who abuse the unit or do not follow directions! The photo is the result of about 2.5 hours of chipping/shredding. As you can see, I have a large trash can filled with quality mulch. Some of the branches were right at 1.5 inches, and this unit handled them with no problem. The only issue I notices was that smaller twigs (bird nest material) did not get well shredded, but I don't look at that as a show stopper. I highly recommend this product.

Like most manufacturers, this one seems to just slightly overstate the capabilities of the product.It's really good for 1" to 1 1/4" branches, depending upon the density and condition of the wood.Works pretty well, within its limitations.Like most manufacturers, SunJoe seems to overstate their products capabilities.This one is quite good for branches up to 1 inch. At 1 1/4", it starts to depend upon the hardness of the wood.Above that, it's tough, unless the wood is a bit rotten.Chip size is very fine--- quite good for foot-paths.Handles straight branches very well, but add anything in the way of something sticking out and, no go. So you'll have to trim.The pusher handle-holder is a joke--- mine broke immediately.Just stuff the pusher in the handle-hole at the top.Also, with longer sticks, the twisting can get pretty violent. Wear safety glasses, and learn to step back quickly.
