Great product at EXCELLENT price - TRUE RMS AC Volts/Amps - Does much more than this - see my Review

works great - very good product - use the A/C Amp clip 85% of the time - Update 5/16/18 I see from many of the questions asked that there is not a clear understanding what this meter does, I bought this a couple of months ago and use it often - it is a great product especially for the price which is incredible for how well it works, accuracy and features / functionality. To clear up many questions (any many INCORRECT ANSWERS!!) The meter performs the following measurements: Voltage measured using supplied Red & Black Test leads - A/C volts from 0 to 750 VAC - Range settings for AC volts - 600mV, 6V, 60V, 600V, 750V D/C Volts - (YES it measures DC volts like for Batteries) - 0 to 1000 VDC - Range settings for DC Volts - 600mV, 6V, 60V, 600V, 1000V Current - Measured in Amperes - using the integrated Clamp - Measures A/C Current (AMPs) ONLY does not measure DC Current First - to measure A/C current you must separate the Neutral and Hot (typically Neutral is the White and Hot is Black) then open the clamp, place around either the Hot or Neutral wire, won't work if you place clamp around both wires together (like around a lamp cord wire), you have to isolate/separate these 2 wires in order to read AC current. Once clamp is around (wire is inside clamp area) wire, then close clamp - wire should be loose inside clamp area. There are many ways you can do this - "google" how to use a clamp A/C current meter and u should find descriptions, YouTube videos etc.. they all work the same way (different brands). A/C Current (measured in AMPS) - Range settings - 60A, 600A, 1000A (meter cannot read small values - e.g. Milli-amps - mA or <1 Amp) A/C Frequency (measured in Hertz) - using Clamp - Range Setting - 50 to 1KHz (1,000 Hz), Using Red/Black Test Leads - Range - 0 - 60MHz (60,000,000 Hz). Also Measures "Duty Cycle" - Range - 0.01 to 99.9% This function is switchable from Frequency setting. Measuring RESISTANCE, CONTINUITY, CAPACITANCE - uses Red & Black Test Leads Resistance - (in Ohms) - Range 0 to 60MOhms (60,000,000 Ohms) - Range Settings - 600, 6K, 60K, 600K, 6M, 60M Ohms Continuity (detects open or short circuit - sounds beep when shorted) Capacitance - (in Farads) - Range - 60nF to 20mF, Range settings - 60nF, 600nF, 6uF, 60uF, 400uF, 20mF Diodes - Measures continuity of Diodes Temperature - Uses Special Temperature Test Leads - White (included) - plugs into special jack (same one as Resistance, Capacitance, Frequency, Continuity, Diode) and Common jack - Range -40 degrees C to 1740 degrees C, or -40 Degrees F to 2000 Degrees Fahrenheit - White leads have a temperature sensor on tip that is used to measure temp - you can change from F to C by pushing button A/C Current

Works as it should but

I needed a DVM to use around the house and this was a good price. It is hard to use as it does balance well in your hand and the leads don't fit well in a AC socket to measure AC voltage. I have to move them around to get them to register and that is hard to do holding the DVM. Haven't used the clamp yet and it did measure battery voltage fine. I wish it had a separate settings for AC and DC voltage measuring. You select voltage and have to push a button to switch to AC. My Dad's old analog seemed to be much easier to use and you dialed exactly what you wanted to measure.
