Honeywell Home Wi-Fi Smart Color Thermostat

My first “smart” thermostat. Install was fine after I figured out the “C” wire was only connected at the old thermostat & not connected at my air handler. Once connecting “C” wire at air handler the thermostat powered up just fine. Overall the thermostat mostly works pretty good. I’ve had a couple times when adjusting between scheduled & permanent hold where it initially still follows the schedule. Seems like it takes an hour or more for such a change to take effect. So if a scheduled change is set to happen, but I change to permanent hold before that time, it’ll still follow the scheduled change despite the stat showing permanent hold. Also the weather part routinely says “updating” and is unavailable for some time. Stat has strong signal to my WiFi router only being about 12’ away with near direct line of site & I can access the internet just fine during those times. The biggest disappointment is the screen. It has these white diagonal lines across the entire screen. See picture. It’s not a solid color like depicted in the marketing pictures. Being able to change the screen color is a nice touch but all colors I’ve tried still have the diagonal lines. It’s only been a few weeks so time will tell how it holds up or if there are any long term issues.
