Excellent little charger with LOTS of power. Well built and very reliable!

Charger is well built, very sturdy, and charges my Pixel 3 as fast as I could ever ask for. The included cable is also high quality. I've been using this charger and cable for 11 months now and have not had the slightest problem with either of them. The standard USB port works perfectly for charging other items at the same time, and as far as I can tell using the second port has no affect on the speed at which my Pixel 3 charges. The charger does have a blue LED light to indicate that it has power. I like the way they designed this, as the opening for the LED is VERY small, only letting a little bit of light out. Other chargers I've used in the past either have no indicator at all, or are so ridiculously bright that they end up being very distracting when driving at night. Not this one, I've got nothing but good things to say about it!

2nd one died w/i a year & half; 1st one defective; blew car's electronics circuits - replacement AOK
By Zoe on Reviewed in the United States on May 2, 2018
update #2:The 2nd one lasted less than a year & half. The USB-A port still works but the USB-PD Type-C port just flat out died (unfortunately during a long drive vacation). Seems fair to have hoped for better. Rating down 1 star.---------------------------original reviewElectronics power blew in my car. I took the car to dealer service. The electrical system was checked out and the problem was found to be the Nektek charger. Cost me $71 & a half day..update:customer supportNekteck contacted me the same day my review was posted. They volunteered to replace the charger as well as to reimburse me for the amount my Honda dealer charged me to determine that the Nekteck charger was bad and my electrical system was good. The reimbursement had to be taken in the form of an Amazon gift card. The replacement charger would be sent from Nektak directly. I asked that someone personally test the replacement before sending it. I also asked them to delay shipping since I’d be out of the country. I hoped to catch it between trips. My Honda’s rear power outsets are in a circuit fused for 20A while the front outlets are in a circuit fused for 15A. The faulty Nekteck would blow either circuit. I asked Nekteck for the rating of the charger’s internal fuse. Answer: 7A.charger itselfI have finally been able to try the replacement and it is working well.My use has, so far, been only to charge a non- Quick Charge featured phone that has a Type C charging port and to charge a pair of power banks both of which use microUSB ports.I’ve charged my phone via both the USB Type A output port and the Type C PD port and monitored the charging currents. The maximum charging current I’ve observed so far has been 2.3A to my phone from the USB Type A output port. I had assumed I’d see a higher current over the Type C but, so far, I’ve only seen it go to 1.7A. It’ll be interesting to track charging behavior with other devices.ratingUp from 1 star, the biggest deal has been Nekteck’s prompt &, in particular, the proactive customer service. I would buy from this company anytime. Plus 2. And, plus 1 for receiving a replacement that works.
