Good buy for the money.

For now, it's a 5-star. I know it's not going to last as long as a Leatherman, but it will serve its purpose for what I need it for. I've read complaints about the sheath. Yes, it's bulky, and the Velcro flap is way too big. The belt loop has a button on it, so that's a lost tool waiting to happen. I sewed the belt loop down as soon as I took it out of the box. The bit set fits inside the sheath, leaving room for a flashlight in the loop on the side. It was a perfect fit for my Olight Arkfeld Pro. I'm happy with the purchase so far, and the tool feels good in the hand. The pliers function seems more legit than other brands, and the large cutters are very nice. Those are the two things I'll use the most.

I was initially very disappointed. Still am disappointed.

Having used SOG products for years my expectations were very high. As I extracted it from the packaging I destroyed it and threw away. Minutes later I considered sending it back. I have several other Leatherman, SOG, Victorinox, and other multi-tools and they are all silver. This one is black. I thought I would give black a try. The first thing I noticed was my fingers getting black as I struggled to open the tools. Everything was either stuck or over tightened. The next thing I noticed was it is almost impossible to tread any engravings because of the black. I decided to give it a good WD-40 cleaning before addressing possible over tightening. I soaked it a while and wiped it down. I used a small tip screwdriver to pry open the individual tools and exercised them a lot in hopes to loosen them up. I made many discoveries. The wire cutter isn’t an edge to edge cutting tool but like scissors. There is a gap between the edges making it quite worthless. The tiny wire with flat head screw driver and phillips style are worthless too. The cross end wasn’t shaped correctly at all. The quarter inch driver has two small wires for two opposite edges. Torque force has to go into these tiny wires. Any socket put on it moves around loosely. The file teeth were filled with black and so much a lot was wiped from them. The knife was not sharp. The pliers never have become sufficiently smooth to want to use. I have a whole list of other bad observations but I won’t write more. I can not recommend this tool.
