have a very similar one, only in metal. has been very reliable for years, but had to put electrical tape on jaws to prevent scratching delicate surfaces. not now. this unit measures identically, with no fear of damage and is an amazing value. even came with extra batteries. seller is top notch.

I have been using this to measure my beads. It's accurate within 2mm and lightweight. I would like more accuracy, but for the price it works well.
