Bosch 12V Max Lithium-Ion 3.0 Ah Battery

I ordered 2 3.0 12v Bosch batteries. One was fine, arriving in the factory plastic "clam shell" packaging. The other, however, had clearly been opened and resealed (part of the "clam shell" packaging top was cut off) - this was a big "red flag" to me so I immediately tried to charge the battery and found that it would not accept a charge. I then plugged the battery into a Bosch 12v tool and found that the battery was completely dead. I contacted Amazon Customer Service. For some reason they were not able to access my credit card account. I was required to delete my credit card information on the Amazon site and re-enter it TWICE - which did not work - according to the Amazon rep. I was then required to re-enter my credit card number via my touch tone phone - which, again did not work. After the second try, Amazon finally was able to access my account. This took ~ half an hour on the phone. Apparently they needed my credit card information before they would authorize shipping a replacement battery so that they could charge me again if I should fail to return the defective battery within 30 days. Since the package of the battery I received had, obviously, been previously opened, I suspect that the battery I received had been returned to Amazon as defective and then re-sold on to me as a "new" battery Needless to say, I am less than impressed...
