The one to buy if you need a easy to carry implantable beach umbrella that can handle strong winds
By Goppenstein on Reviewed in the United States on April 29, 2020
Although not the most popular or highest rated—and certainly not the ost expensive—, this umbrella to my mind is unquestionably the best quality and best performing sand-implanted umbrella for 2 people available for use on beaches that are subject to very strong (>25 MPH) gusts. Most notable of all are 1. The telescoping pole seems truly indestructible and perfectly designed and constructed to make assembly/disassembly simple for one person 2. The sand corkscrew at the bottom tip has exceptionally wide fins, that makes it truly bite into the sand like a drill bit as you twist the pole clockwise, and once implanted is virtually impossible to pull straight out (completely preventing umbrella from “flying away” in strong updrafts). But it is simple to remove by rotating the pole counter-clockwise 3. The pole tilt mechanism is solidly constructed and simple to operate 4. The fiberglass rib canopy assembly is both elastic and exceedingly strong, providing both flexibility and strength (it will bend in high winds but never break or invert) 5. the polyester fabric forming the canopy is sufficiently hefty and quite glossy providing both rip-proof strength and rain protection (should it be needed). 5. The fabric is very snuggly anchored to the ribs by aluminum clamps, again assuring longevity and 6. 7 foot diameter of the canopy provides generous shade coverage for 2 beach chairs. The only “price” for all of the above, is yes, this umbrella is a few pounds heavier than its competitors. Trust me, it’s advantages are well worth every single pound!

Poorly made... would never recommend.
By Deborah on Reviewed in the United States on September 17, 2019
This is a very poorly made umbrella. Multiple spokes were not attached to the umbrella when we opened the package. Not a deal breaker or so we thought. The attached/inserted the long and short spokes, closed the umbrella and off we went. The set up was a breeze and very secure in the sand. THEN, we opened the umbrella. The majority of all the spokes instantly became unattached. Needless to say, we spent more time trying to close the thing and insert back in the carry cover. To save the day for us and the grandkids my husband went to Walmart and bought a $27.00 beach umbrella which served the purchase for the moment.
