Great outside timer

This is a great product. The instructions to program it are easy to follow. I use it to turn on and off my Christmas lights during the holiday season. The case is perfect to protect the electrical connections from rain. I typically place it outside during the holiday season and it been through a few rain storms.

Save the Instructions!

We have the programmable timer. This wouldn’t apply to the mechanical or the other ones.The instructions say you have to plug the timer in 30 minutes ahead of time, but for us it’s been closer to 45 minutes. When the display finally comes on, you have to use a paper clip to hit a tiny button to reset it. You then have to unplug it from the outlet to program it. Once this is done, you plug it back in and it is ready.The closure is not ideal. It is a tight fit and you will have to bend your extension cord significantly to make it close. If you have all six outlets in you will be in for a good time trying to close it.Does it work, yes. Have I had much better timers, yes.
