I am writing this review 7 month after purchase and install. I love the ease of this hose. My 85 year old mother who loves to water finds this machine so very helpful. She could not be happier. It is smooth to pull out and retract. It's perfect for her back yard where we do not need a super long heavy hose. This is exactly what we needed. Best of all, I had caring and very prompt customer service with a question. The distributor could not have been more helpful. I feel like this will last a very long time and I don't anticipate any issues.Update; One year later and this reel works perfectly. No issues at all. It is convenient and extremely sturdy.

Lack of a standard hose end is a big issue,

I was a little disappointed to find the hose kinked in shipment because it was not fully retracted when packed, but after working with it a bit, the kink came out and I think it will be fine. The nozzle that comes with it is pretty low rent and much to my surprise, I discovered that replacing it with a better nozzle would be nearly impossible. The hose does not have a standard end on it, it has a plastic disconnect that is not screwed on. If you could remove the male end from the nozzle, that would not be a problem, but you can’t. It doesn’t screw out, it is fixed in place. The only way to add a better nozzle is to find a male disconnect end that fits the coupler. I dug around and found one, but that was pure luck. Had they disclosed this major shortcoming, I would never have ordered it. The lack of a standard hose end totally ruins this otherwise good product.
