Just what I was hoping for. Lightweight, quiet, easy to use. I prefer Makita to other brands, I liked the adjustable curved shaft. Maybe should have gotten the double battery model for some increased speed, but functions well. The spool for holding string is a little basic. Would like something that secures string while spooling. Would buy again.

The wife uses this as she does the yard work. She says her biggest beef is it’s very hard to restring. It’s double thread so very difficult. The little niches don’t hold onto the string making it hard to get started when installing new thread. Have seen pre threaded cartridges for this unit. Other than that it works great
