By Cory on Reviewed in the United States on June 28, 2023
Well, well, gather 'round, y'all, 'cause I gotta tale to tell 'bout this here Worx corded, electric leaf blower. Let me tell ya, folks, this thing is a real game-changer for us Southern folks battlin' them pesky leaves in our yards. Now, picture this, my friends. Fall done arrived, and them leaves start droppin' like a bunch of confetti at a hoedown. It used to be a never-endin' battle, rakin' and sweepin' 'em up, only for 'em to come right back. But then, I got my hands on this Worx leaf blower, and oh boy, things done changed. This contraption ain't just about blowin' them leaves away. It's got a trick up its sleeve, y'all. It can suck 'em up too, like a good ol' Southern vacuum cleaner. No more wrestlin' with a rake or wrestlin' with a pile of leaves that won't stay put. This baby can handle it all! When I fired up this leaf blower for the first time, it was like unleashin' a tornado in my yard, but in a good way, mind ya. Them leaves didn't stand a chance! With a mighty gust of wind, they scattered like a flock of chickens runnin' from a fox. It was a sight to behold, I tell ya.But here's the real kicker, folks. When I flipped that switch and turned this blower into a leaf sucker-upper, well, that's when the magic happened. Them leaves didn't just get blown away; they got sucked up into a mighty vortex, never to be seen again. It's like havin' a leaf-eatin' monster right in my hands! Now, I gotta tell ya, this Worx leaf blower is a Southern yard's best friend. It's powerful like a thunderstorm, but easy to handle like a gentle breeze. It ain't too heavy neither, so you won't be strainin' yourself tryin' to tame them leaves. But here's a word of advice, my friends. When you fire up this leaf blower, make sure you aim it in the right direction. I once accidentally blew a pile of leaves straight into my neighbor's yard, and boy, did that cause a ruckus! So keep your aim true, and you'll be just fine.In conclusion, if you're tired of wrestlin' with leaves like a wild hog in a mud pit, this Worx corded, electric leaf blower is the answer to your prayers. It blows 'em away and sucks 'em up, all with the power and efficiency of a true Southern storm. Y'all won't find a better leaf-tamin' companion, I guarantee it!So go on, my friends, grab yourself one of these leaf blowers and reclaim your yard from them unruly leaves. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Happy leaf wranglin'!

Failure right out of box
By Travis S. on Reviewed in the United States on August 23, 2022
Been looking for a replacement yard leaf vac/blower for quite some time. Thought I'd try Worx WG512. Read many reviews. Some very positive. Some negative. Unfortunately I fell into the negative category. I really wanted this to work. Concept is there - just not the implementation. Made of great heavy duty plastic. Love how rotation of a turning mechanism changes this from a blower to a vac and this is where the fault lies with the product.I rotated that lever several times in practice and heard it 'clicking' into position. Upon first several power ups - the unit would just not engage - even though it was plugged in correctly. After powering off and moving that lever - it finally clicked enough into position - that it would power up. This thing is also very loud compared to my previous other manufacture unit that I had originally for 6 years.I use different manufacturer blowers almost every other week - I have artificial turf for my backyard - So I use it to help blow the dog fur or leaves / twigs that have fallen. During the fall - units get a workout blowing all the leaves and then pulverizing them into small bits. (This is one thing I read in many reviews that the Worx was not great at - grinding up leaves - but unfortunately I never got a chance to try). As well - I have a backup gas powered blower to use (as I've had that for 12-15 years) and it still runs like a champ - but I dislike smelling of 2 cycle after I'm finished all the time.So I attempted to use the Worx blower yesterday and had power to the unit and it started fine on its high speed. Suddenly - I began to smell a burning plastic and then electrical smell. I powered off unit. Examined the motor and made sure the fins were rotating freely. Which they were. I started the unit back up - It began to run and went immediately from high speed to low speed on its own. At this point I powered entire unit off took it back into my garage. Got my gas powered unit out and finished blowing my backyard. Later I tried powering the Worx WG512 unit in my garage and unit would not even power on. Time to box unit back up and return it.I so wanted to try this Worx unit out - especially the leaf collection unit which will attach directly to trash cans. But due to the issues with this unit, and I'm not in the position to constantly exchange units with manufacturers - some would say that I got a bad unit. I just don't think the quality control of this is quite up to par. Finally - it was definitely a electrical issue with the motor. When I had the unit on my workbench and I was taking the tube off the unit - I noticed fine granules collect at the bottom of where the motor was. At first - I thought this was just fine plastic, but upon further review - these plastics looking pieces were actually the magnetic parts from the interior motor. I captured these in a ziploc bag to send back.
