I really like it

I'm writing this just because I think at this price there is no better fan on amazon I bought some others on prime day that were smaller and another popular brand which I don't like and this has them beat. First I think this fan looks really good especially in white and white has the best price. Second it is silent as can be I have never heard a silent fan be totally silent the hum is so low you have to be in a totally silent room to hear it and part of why I bought this fan was to have a silent office and this is. Third wind is good for me, its equal to what I had before from another popular brand that is still sold now. I live in florida and its hot here my office gets hot so even with a fan I'm still hot. I have it in a 8x10 room and I think this size is a must in hot places why pay same price for a smaller fan. Fourth and to me a big plus lots of fans now come with led light plates that you will have to order from the manufacturer to replace I was so glad this took bulbs because smart lights look so cool and I needed a bulb fan. Also the picture about the mount not flush with the ceiling that person must of did something wrong because it's perfect on mine I don't even know how that could happen if you install it correctly. The only knocks I would give on this to prevent 5 stars the remote sometimes doesn't respond on first press that could be me not leaving the sensor out. Also I originally tried to the fan without the downrod to be closer to the ceiling the instructions are not super clear on how to do it but you will figure it out just take your time I didn't. But either way if you in a hot place don't do it might look cool but will create less wind not worth it.

Terrible product and company

I ordered four of these fans and after paying a handyman to install them (taking about 2 hours), after installing 2 of the 4 fans, neither was working with the remote. We tried to see if the fans worked manually and it worked fine, but the fans did not respond to the remote. We went through all of the troubleshooting instructions in the manual, we called customer service (and after being put on hold for twenty minutes, were disconnected), and then we tried customer service again only to be told to go through the same troubleshooting instructions listed in the manual. We explained that we'd already tried that, but would try it again, and asked customer service to stay on the line while we did so. They tried to say that they had too many other people on the line and couldn't stay connected at the moment. That we'd have to go through the instructions and then call back (and likely be put on hold again). The customer service agent agreed to stay on the line, but his tone changed completely. He became very impatient and, after going through the entire troubleshooting process again with our handymen and it still NOT fixing the issue, he only agreed to send 2 new remotes and receivers rather than 4, which is the number of remotes and receivers that we would need. They said we'd have to attempt installing the other two and that those would have to be faulty before they'd agree to send replacements. I explained that since HALF of the fans I ordered were faulty, I didn't want to waste any more time and money installing two additional fans that were 50% likely have the same issue. I then asked to be transferred to his supervisor thinking maybe she would understand, but she was equally impatient right off the bat. I asked them to be proactive in sending me the backup receivers and remotes and/or to offer some sort of reimbursement/refund (even partial) for the faulty fans and that was when the customer service agent, Esther, HUNG UP ON ME. When I called back and said, "Ok, all four fans have been installed and none are working. Will you please send the four new receivers and remotes, please?" she called me a liar and hung up on me. It was unbelievable... by far the WORST customer service experience I've ever had. I'm usually very reasonable, but I expect proactive solutions from a company that KNOWINGLY manufactures faulty equipment (they told me themselves this happens frequently and that the new receivers should fix the problem). Moral of this lengthy review: DO NOT ORDER THESE FANS. Or any other fans from Prominence Home. They're awful -- both in the manufacturing of their products and the way they treat their customers.
